I'll give the authors credit on that point--they checked and found no evidence that it did (and their way of checking seemed reasonable). Oddly, they did a thorough job of checking on a number secondary points, while missing a basic one. At some point that I don't remember but which is readily ascertainable, before 2005 Katrina, the people in charge of such things switched to alternating between female and male names.
